For the Love of Lemons: Lemongrass

Theme Kit

For the Love of Lemons
Part 1: Lemongrass
-FREEBIE-

Today marks the official beginning of my new kit, "For the Love of Lemons."  It is based on a painting of a pair of lemons I did with acrylic paints several weeks ago while watching TV with my family. The kit will include many papers, embellishments, frames, and more.  Tonight's portion includes many of the yellow and green elements, therefore called "Lemongrass."  The kit is created at 300 ppi, and all papers are 12x12.  Included are:  7 papers, a tag showing my original painting, a yellow bow, yellow lace, and a lemon wedge (entirely created in Photoshop).

Credits and thank you to FafBr for her "Adorable Satin Bow" action, and to Atomic Cupcake for the lace template.  I've had SUCH fun playing with actions and templates lately!

Congratulations to Karen, the third winner is the "needle in the haystack" contest from my Yard Sale: Hay Day post!  (So far, winners are Lois, Mandy, and Karen - keep on looking!)

Below is my lemon painting, which you will see interspersed throughout this series:

Notes for the day:
For those of you who enjoy the constellation series, don't worry, there will be many more of those coming. They will primarily be released when I am working on other kits and therefore interspersed among the rest.  If anyone is waiting on a particular constellation, feel free to e-mail me, and I"ll try to do that one next.

Thank you so much to everyone who has been sending good thoughts and prayers my way.  It helps to keep me going.  I had a tough day today - received the results of my biopsy from Monday.  Unfortunately, the result showed none of the tissue that was supposed to have been biopsied.  In other words, somehow things were messed up in the operating room such that the specimen did not make it into the jar before it was sent to the lab!  Unbelievable, isn't it?  My doctor was very kind and caring about the whole thing, and I feel grateful to be in his care.  He worked me in for an office visit only an hour or so later, and did an office-based version of the biopsy.  He is hoping we'll have results in 24-48 hours.  So, I'm starting the waiting game all over again.  I think the unknown is even worse than a cancer diagnosis - at least once I am diagnosed, I can take the necessary steps to get better.  So, any hugs (see hugs counter to left), comments or e-mails would be welcomed and greatly appreciated.

Hugs to all of you,
Jeanie

I am so sorry they messed up. Yes, I agree, the wait is worse than knowing. Once you know the diagnosis you can spring into action. As I said before, I know cancer is an ugly word, BUT it can be beaten. I know as I am a survivor of 13 years.

Your new kit is wonderful. Thank you

First my apologies!! The previous post was supposed to read:and still manage to create beautiful designs!!!
I hope you soon have your biopsy results. My niece was diagnosed with breast cancer last summer and the waiting was awful!! She is an inspiration!!! I hope your results are clear!!

Jeanie, what happened with the biopsy is very annoying, bc, your are right, the worst thing is the waiting. I wish I could do more to cheer you up than a few words, that are meaningless in the end.
I had cancer, 20 years ago, and I'm still here, so ...

Ciao, Ari

p.s. the lemon kit is gorgeous

Thanks for this new lovely gift! I can see you're no slouch in the artistic department either. I really hope everything turns out ok with your biopsy. Even though I know we aren't supposed to understand, I can never see the wisdom of bad things happening to good people. Hope Elena had a Happy Birthday. You'll have to tell us what she got and if it was "really" what she wanted. Any new artwork from Lydia?

you are going to be ok. the waiting *is* the worst part. once you find out the results, you will deal with it. it's going to be emotional either way, but you're stong and all your kids are depending on you. just *know* that you will be ok.
((((hugs))))

How could I not follow that mouth-watering, puckering scent of YUMMY lemons over here to see you Ms. Jeanie!!!

Gosh sweetie, I've been SO busy with deadlines and doctor's appointments that I've not been over here to say hello and had NO idea that you were being biopsied!

I SO hope and pray for GOOD news. I will have to read back some posts to catch on what you've been dealing with darlin'. I SO understand the "waiting" part. I feel exactly as you do, I just wish to know what is going on so I can take the next step or JUMP FOR JOY!!! I want to see you JUMPIN' girl!

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE lemons (drink lemon water most everyday!) and your kit is ADORABLE and as ALWAYS, unique!!!

Thank you SO much for your continued generosity in the digital scrapbooking community Jeanie!!! You are a dear and I look forward to hearing a GOOD report from you any day now!!!

As I mentioned on my blog a week or so again, with ALL of the well-wishes, thoughts and prayers, how can you NOT get a GOOD report!!!

Love and hugs,
Linda :)
