Another CU Freebie - Lace Ribbon I

Embellishment Template
Commercial Use
Lace Ribbon I
-FREEBIE-

I recently had a request for some ribbons, so I'm starting to play around with some.  Here's a pretty little lace ribbon for you - it's 12 inches long, 300 ppi, in grayscale to be colored to your liking.  I have provided both a light and a dark version to make it easier to work with a variety of colors.  I hope you enjoy it!  I've had a sudden urge to focus on commercial use freebies rather than entire kits - it seemed to me that there are SO many free kits out there and not nearly enough freebies for CU. Please let me know in the comments below whether or not it meets with your needs - I'm here to serve...LOL!  :)

Click HERE to download.  File corrected and reuploaded on 6/30/08, so if you downloaded on or before that date, please re-download!  MANY apologies for the inconvenience!

Notes for the day:
I'm so excited about the great response my daughter is having to her new freebie blog - she's had nearly 2000 visitors so far, and only posted her first freebie 9 days ago!  MANY thanks to Anneli of Attic Treasures, who featured Lydia on her blog, and to Linda of Bon Scrapatit, who listed Lydia and me in her "Hot New Designers" list!  It means SO much to me, and to Lydia.  Please visit these wonderful folks - they are two of my favorite designers and offer LOTS of gorgeous work!  You know, I have to say that all of you in the digital scrapbooking community are fantastic people - your comments, kind words, and hugs bring SO much joy and fulfillment to my life!  Love ya!

Hugs to everyone,
Jeanie

This is really useful, I don't sell but want to play in those challenges where you make a mini kit, and they give it away on the forum, this is the kind of thing that helps alot. Thank you for thinking of us, it is so nice of you.

I am happy that we can return some joy to you and Lydia just by commenting. Both of you have so much talent.

I do like the idea of CU items. I am not a designer or sell anything, but items such as these lace ribbons are very helpful to me when creating family LOs.

Thanks you

Dear ScrapDoctor:

I WOULD LOVE MORE CU items. I have been trying to make some of my own things from items around the house and teaching myself but there are some things I just don't have the knack for. You are right, the CU freebie are few and when you get them you hold tight to them!

I was wondering if you can do any stitching of sorts?

Love actions too!!!!!! They are a big help.

Thank you.

Thank you very much for this wonderful gift! CU items always welcome!!! Like Elizabeth said CU items are so handy when you join a challenge to make a mini kit or a quick page. I am not a designer just someone who likes scrapping and being able to do some of the challenges out there; so thanks again!
Congrats to Lydia. That yarn is something else. I also loved your drawing; you are very talented!

I'm a newbie and am learning to create scrap stuff for freebies.

Thanks so much for the CU freebie!!!! My pocketbook is getting empty from buying all this stuff and this is a HUGE relief. Lovely lace!!! I'd love to see you continue further into the CU realm... you seem to have a talent for it!

P.S. Your daughter's blog is fabulous and she deserves every bit of praise! It's wonderful to see the young'uns picking up on this. If she keeps it up, she'll have some wonderful keepsakes to pass on!

These lace ribbons are wonderful, thank you so much! That is so kind of you (and your sweet Lydia!) to make CUok freebies. They are greatly appreciated and very useful even to those of us who are not interested in selling, as has been mentioned already. Thank you!!! I love your kits too, though... so hope you will feel like making some of them still sometimes. You are tremendously talented and it is so wonderful that you are so generous with it!

In case someone has trouble with it, I just wanted to mention that the Light Ribbon shows up as a ".png file with an incorrect extension". Turns out it is actually a .psd file. So if a person just renames the file extension from .png to .psd it will open just fine in Photoshop or Photoshop Elements, however folks who use other programs will not be able to open it.

I know of someone else who had this trouble and they use a Mac too. Evidently there is something about converting to .png files on a Mac that sometimes gets messed up. I can't remember what they said the "fix" was, but you could probably find something on Google. (I remember you've had this trouble in the past with an occasional .png file too.) Anyway, hope that helps! And thanks again for your wonderful goodies!!!
