I'm back! :)

Embellishments
Commercial Use
Doilies for Elena III
-FREEBIE-

Hi, everyone!  First of all, thank you SO much for all your thoughts and prayers.  I'm sorry that I haven't posted in some time - I have just not been up do doing much since my surgery on Monday.  I have, however, taken advantage of little moments here and there to make up some more CU freebies for you.  So, here's another one - the third in the series of doilies.  Again, created at 300 ppi, in 12 colors (coordinating with my other recent CU items) as well as in light and dark gray for recoloring to your needs.  I hope you enjoy them, and please check back for more goodies soon! :)

My surgery went fine...
I had my hysterectomy and all the associated procedures on Monday.  Thankfully, the frozen section showed no cancer!  Yay!  I only stayed in the hospital two nights, and after being pretty out of it the first night, was feeling pretty good the next night.  I came home on Wednesday, and my mother-in-law has been helping here all week.  I've had some more pain with trying to get up from my chairs and sofa without the benefit of hospital rails, but I'm doing OK.  I think my recovery is going to be pretty uneventful.  A couple of days ago, our foster children came here for a visit, which was WONDERFUL!  We're hoping to see them again tomorrow.  Felt so nice to be together again!  I sure wish I were allowed to post photos of them, but I'm not.  Suffice it to say that they are adorable, sweet children and chock full of personality!  My biological daughters are working very hard to be on their best behavior, and are being incredibly helpful.  My parents are coming tomorrow to take over babysitting me for a while so my mother-in-law can have a well-deserved break!

My first award!
Last week, the amazingly talented and witty Linda of Bon Scrapatit Designs gave me my first award!  (She also gave one to my daughter Lydia for her blog!)  Thank you SO much, Linda, for this wonderful honor!

The rules of the award are as follows:

1. The winner can put the award logo on his or her blog.
2. Link the person you received the award from.
3. Nominate at least 7 other blogs.
4. Put links of those blogs on yours.
5. Leave a message on the blogs of those you've nominated.

So, the blogs I nominate are:

1. Digitreats - The ever-so-popular designer of the Skip, Run and Jump ABC kits!  Pamela works very hard to keep us supplied with wonderful freebies and her warm-hearted stories are a joy to read.
2. Curly Wirly Twirly Girlies - Erika is a vibrant lady with a wonderful sense of humor, a lot of heart, and tons of great new ideas.  She has created fantastic freebies, and I'm always so excited to see what she comes up with next.
3. Sophisticated Scraps - Lisa has gorgeous, unique designs, and many are commercial use freebies.  A great resource, and a really nice lady!
4. Mallu Brasil Designs - If you love sparkle and glitter, this is the place to go!  She has amazingly intricate, ornate designs.  Lots of very versatile swirls, frames, etc.
5. Attic Treasures - Anneli posts gorgeous freebies, very unique, with a Victorian style.  Perfect for vintage layouts!  She's also a fantastic lady!
6. Julie. It is. - Julie's musings on life are full of humor, wisdom and interesting twists.  She has very unique designs, often with very powerful meaning.  Please check out the layout in her July 4th post, "The price of summer."  That picture just seemed to speak volumes to me!
7. Aprilmouse and Hanulienka - These gifted ladies have a bright, fresh, cheerful style.  They clearly put a lot of care into the detail in each kit, and seem to have lots of fun doing it!

Hugs to everyone,
Jeanie

Oh Jeanne, you don't know how glad I am to hear you made it thru ok! And so glad they brought the children to see you. I was afraid you'd try to overdo by going to them. Sorry to hear you're having pain. Glad your mother-in-law and parents are taking turns, cause that way you and the family get to see both! I know Lydia was excited about that!

Take care and I'm still praying for you!

Aunt Anne

ps. Oops, almost forgot to thank you for the wonderful gift. The doilies are so delicate looking!

I tried to download your outstanding doilies and got a page could not be found. Anyway, I just wanted to say your heart must be as big and beautiful as your smile. Too many little ones will never know the love of a family and that is the saddest thing in this world. Thank you for your loving and giving spirit. May you always be sucessful in all you do. God bless

I am very glad to hear that everything went well with your surgery, now as some others suggested don't overdo it, but take it easy for some time. Thank you very much for another terrific freebie.

Thank you for all the wonderful freebies and for sharing your positive outlook on life throughout all the difficulties you face. I'm glad that you are not facing any of them by yourself because you have the loving support of your family. I have also been blessed with a great family and can understand a little bit of what you are going through with your daughter's allergy since my son is allergic to peanuts and my daughter to eggs. I'm glad that you are recovering well. May God bless you always with His Peace and Love.

That is great news, I'm so happy for you and your family! My DH and I have been through several cancer scares in the last year, so I know the anticipation and the worry until you get the results! So glad the kids got to come for a visit and that you have lots of help from your family. Take care and wishing you a speedy recovery!
