Theme Kit
For the Love of Lemons
Home Decor
-FREEBIE-
I had some serious fun creating today's freebie! I love cherry furniture, and had initially thought of making a simple little kitchen cabinet to display yeterday's recipe cards. Then, as usual, I got a bit carried away and created a bookshelf/curio hutch from scratch in Photoshop. The curio hutch is actually a piece of furniture I'd love to have but haven't found the right one yet. It was fun constructing each tiny piece - I especially liked working on the glass doors. The crystal door handles and colored gemstones are commercial use gems from Christy Skaggs - aren't they pretty? Anyway - here's the loot for today: 2 striped papers, pink and yellow (12x12), a chrome beaded swirl (again, an action from Lisa at Sophisticated Scraps) in pink and yellow to coordinate with my pink lemonade set, a green mini topiary and a mini lemon topiary, three colored gems, 2 frames, a small keepsake box and a lemon patterned bow. And yes, the displays ARE included today - you will receive a cherry bookshelf, as well as an optional front you can layer over it (after filling the shelf with your own goodies) that will turn it into a glass-doored curio hutch. Some items are shown twice to let you see more detail. Drop shadows are for preview purposes only, except the shadow inside the cabinets, which are part of the design.

Notes for the day:
Thank you so much for all the lovely comments - I so enjoy hearing from people who like my work! It really inspires me. If any of you have requests/suggestions, I'd love to hear them - you can e-mail me or leave a comment on the blog or in the C-box. (If you leave requests on 4Shared, I may not get them, as it is so tedious to look through comments on every single file - I wish they had a way to just see all new comments!)
Here is a hint of things to come tomorrow, which will be last actual kit from the "For the Love of Lemons" series. Anybody know what it's supposed to be? I may still send some quick pages your way, though! :)
I'm working on creating some Photoshop actions, which I hope to test and share with you soon - stay tuned!
Hugs to all,
Jeanie

Looks to me like it's Lemon Jello ! I LOVE your work - you got me hooked on the Yard kits because I live on a farm.
I saw the home decor kits on another designer's site and fell in love with them! I am glad that someone has offered them as a freebie. I really appreciate it and think this is a very pretty kit for a LO!! Thank you for sharing your work with us!!
First the lemons, now the Cherry furniture ... just like my mom and she had the china cabinets like that only a little wider. Thanks for today's lemon treats! Lemon jello didn't cross my mind. My first thought was lemon ice! Good luck with the actions but don't forget us PSE people!

Wow, this is so creative! I love the idea of playing with the furniture you made, of course it opens a whole new avenue as to what to put on the shelves. (I have a cow creamer collection, wouldn't that be fun!) But it's a really versatile idea, for many things. Thanks for the treat, it's great!
You are so talented! Thank you so much for these wonderful freebies. Lemon Jello Jigglers is what first popped into my mind when I saw that bowl (and then I was amazed at how you were able to create it!)
